I'm on my 3rd msd box...I would probably switch to something different but everything else is MSD (Dist, Wires, Coil )

Boxes? We don't need no stinkin' boxes..........Stick a Vertex in it and forget about it. Boxes, indeed...........MP
I had a crane box on my flatty. It worked great and you could dial in the rev limiter in 100 RPM increments. I also had an MSD box on my cruiser, and it worked great with lots of hours.
What is Teague's position? :D

Most MSD failures are due to shotty wiring.Solder conections and shrink tube is the best way.I always run the negative direct to the battery. They must have a good ground.I have ran MSD in circletrack and my boat. Not one failure in who knows how many years.
If I made a recomendation...and it failed...I know what you would say about me:(
I am afraid....:D :D :D
Stock points and a chrome coil from autozone. Chrome coil bracket for extra HP.:)
I've had a Crane box for at least 10 years without any issues. I'd probably buy another. Holy Moly is correct. One of the nice features of the Crane unit is that it does have the built in adjustable rev limiter capability. No chips or more external BS.

I had my Crane HI-6 for 10 years too.....not one problem.
Boy, I have ran MSD, Crane, and Mallory on cars since I was 16. I couldn't tell you what works best on a boat. I do know I have had good luck with all three. I have never had one problem with any of them. Mallory stuff has always been kind of the quiet guy, but it has always been flawless for me. I am not sure if anyone runs it on boats though, or if they are even around any longer.

You used your "outside keyboard", yes. :D

Its been in my boat for a 1 1/2 years and never a problem:D
On my second boat with Crane marine ignition. No issues and I like not having to buy yet another component for a rev limiter.
I Ran Crane Boxes In My Boats. No Issues.
