you mean this boat? Maybe 70mph. He says it has some brand new Bassests. They look like old Nicksons to me

I'd like to know the trick, 100 MPH through logs...
-
And the so-called basset thru transom headers look an awful lot like logs to me.

Is there a boat with a Panther jert capable of 100MPH?
Perhaps he meant 100MPH on the trailer.

ok jason arent you going to sell your boat soon.yellow orange hum a little photo shop with the 454 hummmmmmmm!and a speeeeeedddddd streeeeeeccccccchhhhhhh

I bet he's close to 70, because I can get about 68 or 69 out of mine with thru transom logs and I have solid lifters and roller rockers also. The only thing he has on me is a tunnel ram and two carbs. But I've also got a Berkley by Jack at MPD. I'll race this fool any day!
Now, can someone tell me why his engine is so crooked? Look at the side shot of the engine, the hull is cut out a serious amount for the exhaust only on one side! My exhaust log is a tiny bit closer on that side, but nothing like that!!

That offset looks pretty normal for a BBC. But it is shoved back pretty far. And your right, nice hack job back there.
OK, now that you got me started, cute fuel log, gotta love that plumming to the carbs. Oh carbs, nice single feeds, all 100 mph boats are runnig those! No roller rockers or stud girdle under those short valve covers. Valve covers, looking at those I don't see any breathers. Pretty nice scoop, to bad someone drilled holes in the top of it. The best thing is that bow light. You would think at 100mph that would mess up the air flow a little.
All funnig aside, it would be a fun ride for 6,500 maybe.
