Has anyone seen that commercial for that car company (can't remember the name) with Darrel Waltrip?
It's all about these powerful trucks and they show a truck towing a boat jumping (or flying in the air) and he says "I've got to get a boat"
anyway.............
how did they do that? :D
I understand they didn't really jump the truck and trailer, but how did they get them flying across the screen? They had to leave the ground and re-enter somehow............

.....or they threw it away when they were done.
Look at what happened on "Dukes of Hazzard".
Practically KILLED the Dodge Charger.

Coming down after the jump the "Toyota" was wrecked on the landing...best thing to happen to a toyota. Oh yeah the boat was fine.
-
so it was Toyota? (don't they have tiny trucks?) :D
and they would just trash a truck?
and the boat was fine?
(what kind was it?) :D

Trashing a truck would likely cost significantly less than re-doing the scene in CG. Realistic effects are horribly expensive. That truck probably cost them $15K max with no reality flaws.
Funny commercial though...

I am not sure if the drivers seat would be a good vantage point with a trailer and boat hitched to it.

Doesn't everyone jump their truck while towing a boat

Any one who has ever towed a boat through Rice Road at 85mph probably has jump with the boat attached.
