Candy or Metallic Engine Block Paint????

What should I use to paint this fresh bbc block? Looking to match (close) the red on the boat, tahitian red........???? Any suggestions apprectiated.

I've painted several engines and I've had the best luck stripping the block and smoothing as much or as little as you want, thoroughly cleaning it and priming it with DuPont Vari-prime (2) coats letting the last coat flash off for approx 30-40 mins and then shooting the paint. If I'm shooting a straight color I shoot a single stage urathane usually acyrlic, If I shoot metalics I use a two stage urathane system. I've used, glassruit, sikkens and PPG urathanes with good luck, I've also tried acyrlic enamels which don't hold up as well. The biggest problem I've had is the discoloring around the exhaust ports, Ford and Olds are the worst because of the extended exhaust port design.

The multi stage candies will work on an engine as well.
We used it on superlite72's boat. Its stiil holding up just fine.
