I am again having the pleasurable experience of drilling "wear plate".
Used mostly for buckets of heavy equipment, mining, rock and sand plants.
Let me tell you, wear plate steel is harder than a preachers dick.
This run, the composition must have been changed because it is harder than the last preacher's dick I drilled.
There is nothing fun about it.
Just thought you guys should know.

plenty of lube.
After the first $40 insert took a shit, I added my own lube to the mix.
Nothing like hearing carbide squeal first thing in the morning right before it gives up.
