I've seen some from RV shops that look pretty similar, and they were cheaper than my cost on the factory stuff...might be a thought.
On sunday i was out in East County San Diego and saw a white liftted (fab tech) 2500 chevy diesel with FORD style telescoping mirrors.
Looked pretty cool in my opinion.
The '06's have that type of telescoping mirror. Don't know if they mount on the '05's.
