Went with my dad today to pick this boat up....He needed a boat he could run on the river south of Parker. It's a '76 Southwind.....He's been looking for one for quite some time.

We noticed that part of the rub rail was loose. Any ideas on how to reattach it. Other than that the boat looked good and ran good....

If you have the boat with you can you take a picture of the beam that runs from the front of your deck to the dash right behind the tach?

That hull looks like a well preserved original. Thumbs up!
The Ford 460 longblock should offer you years of trouble free boating.

Sent you a PM...
LO,
The hull looks to be in great shape...I only noticed a few minor stress cracks but the gel is in excellent condition. All it needs is a good buffing and it should look like new.
Does anyone know if all Southwinds came with the bow enclosed? The bow is enclosed except for a couple small holes...I'll have to take some pic's tomorrow. Also, it doesn't have full length stringers....is that pretty common on this year Southwind?

No, most that I have seen have been open.

Very easy. Rivets. Pull the rubber part of the rub rail out where its loose, you will probally see rivets, drill it out and put a few new ones in, or like was done to mine you can just add rivets.
Nice Clean Southwind.
