a few things to check, first is the rear abs sensor, its the one on the differential. its kinda hard to do on the 87, but that would cause the abs light to come on. on 92 and up trucks the same sensor is used for the speedo, so its obvious when its bad. second would be the RABS module itself, which could cause the pedal to go down, as it is what actually bleeds off pressure to activate the abs. third thing that will turn on the abs light is low brake fluid. another possibility on the low pedal is the master cylinder itself.

thanks for the info
the master cylinder is new we thought that was it but no chang
and there is plenty of brake fluid
so this RABS module were is it located
One more thing you may have a splitter that is for the RABS also. It is on the frame right below the Master cylinder twards the rear of the truck about 3" - 6". I always bleed that also !!!

Mike, Make sure the rears are adjusted out to just slight drag on the drums. If not, the pedal will go down as the shoes have to move out to contact the drum. Does the parking brake hold good and tight? This is usually a pretty good indication that that the rears are adjusted up.

I think we have every thing ajusted and bled right
the thing is it had good pedal
when this first started happening at the point the pedal would normally start breaking you would feel it start to hit the go by like a relief valve let go
but now it just gos way down before it brakes
thanks for the info guys keep it coming in need to get this fixed
its bugging the crap out of me
Here's a good site for info on Ford trucks. They have a separate section just for "Big Broncos" Ford Trucks (http://www.ford-trucks.com)
