Like to see ya there Magic 34....in either boat..
I'll probably stay both nights, but I thought if someone wanted to save $200, that would be an easy way to do it.
We could probably launch out of Hemmingway or whatever...the last time I was there, there was a low water concern. It's changed now, I'm sure. I'm not the only activities guide on this mission, speak up peeps!! :D :D :D
I just thought the wives and kids would love that place and not even need to go out to the lake (or half lake day half pool..whatever). There is a small casino there...2 pools with a slide....a beach with kayaks on a little lake...and a basketball court...and plenty of space to party too. I'm easy going...whatever works out.

Blane,
I might have to back out of this trip???
I'm thinking since my boat is back east I might as well hit all the big runs before she comes home. Sept 9-10th is the Lake Cumberland Poker run.....haven't decided for sure....just contemplating
I probably won't be sending it back there again, so why not hit most of the big runs this year while it's there...?
I can get air fare pretty cheap if I book soon, and Baker is doing the hauling for me....so...???
How's your calendar for late Sept?

We can try and reschedule for whenever, my schedule is typically pretty flexible with the exception of 1/1 and 7/1...

I have been there before and it is all that for sure. Have fun brothers.

Lake Cumberland is an AWESOME RUN. Be ready for 140+ mph V BOTTOMS!! You'll have lots of "Cat" Company as well. Feel free to PM me if you need suggestions on where to stay, etc. It does make a difference with the lake being close to 100 miles long from extreme to extreme. Best thing to do is try to "room" with someone on a Houseboat right at state dock.

All the boatells (houseboats in slips) are all booked up. I'm on the waiting list. Is there somewhere close to stay? They said they'd give me a slip when I register for the event. So, at least the boat is handled
It's probably going to be a guys trip, so I don't need anything fancy  Just party friendly :2purples:  :D :D

Try www.jamestown-marina.com It is "right across" from State dock, by boat or water taxi. If you have to drive it you're looking at probably 20-25 minutes. There are numerous cabins that are part of Jamestown marina as well. Also several small local motels in the city of Jamestown...which is less than 10 minutes from the lake. Start with the marina and let me know if you have problems. We'll be on a houseboat tied up in a cove probably within 5-10 miles of State Dock / Jamestown.
You'll find more partys than your liver can handle...I didn't run the poker run last yr beacuse I was too hurt from Friday night!! :p After the poker run most of the "go fast" crowd takes a trip to the Dam (about 10 miles) to crown the unofficial king of the lake. 110 Octane is not a problem to find either, available right at State Dock. They sell lots of it for this run....:2purples: ;)
