In you dyno program all things being the same if you go from 8.5 to 9.5 comp ratio how much of a power gain is it? or do you have to re-cam?

Giddy up a man that knows how to drink, we drink irish whiskey on the rocks or golden wedding, some canuck stuff that kicks ass.
I was just wondering as the tired motor in my boat right now is a 8.5 to 1 and runs fine on 87 and thinking for my next if I up the ratio or jus leave it low and build a big motor. You know, sitting around bench racing at the bar and you get to thinking.
I use to drink a whiskey. . .Tulamadue. . .it was Irish when I went to Oxford. Smoothe stuff. Scotch though, you can beat Glenmorangie 14 year old.
Go big cid and about 9 to 1.
