Rob - Don't sweat it. We had a nice pace going. Boats that wanted to run faster went up front and did it. Those that didn't, hung in the back and enjoyed the scenery. We all stopped together and hung out at a few spots on the way up. This was between Katherine's and the entrance to the gorge. Once we hit the gorge, we slowed down quite a bit so we could all enjoy the scenery. I'm not good in estimating distances, but image going through the Topock gorge...for about 10 miles!!! Sweet.
We got separated on the way back. We won't do that next time We'll want to keep the party going all day.

Tom,
The RiverForUs clan will be out there for a 4-day weekend covering that Saturday. The only downside is that there may be 15 (8 adults/7 kids) of us with one boat and 2 PWC's. I'll either pile them all in or see if some of them want to "volunteer" to stay back on the beach with the Sea Doo's. If the numbers don't work out (I've had 13 in the boat before--not sure if I can make 15 fit) I'll certainly see everyone in GA.
Either way you can count me in on making the BBQ at your house Saturday night!!

can we join? we are booked at Edgewater from 8/19 4 nites. Never done a run before, sounds like fun. I have a small jet boat that sucks gas like hell so may have to stop for gas on the way. She only goes about 50 so I'll be hanging at the back of the line.
