Volvo DPX drive??

Quick question to DPX owners... is the shift hard on your boat, or does it glide?? Mine has been getting progressivly stiffer (the shifter!!) and is turing into a pain. Anyone have any ideas?? There are no kinks in the cable and just can't figure it out....

Are you talking about the resistance on the shifter, or the actual engagement of the gear / drive?

The resistance of the shifter.. it goes in and out of gear just fine, and if I take the cover off the drive the shifter thing turns smooth as butter... don't know if I should go through the pain of changing the cable.... :yuk:

Sounds like a problem with the cover interfering with the shifter??

Try lubricating the cable..

yeah like penetrating oil
