Thread: WOW! Switched from carbs to injection on Tunnel Ram

Made the switch from 2 660's and gas to Birdcatcher and alcohol. What a difference it makes in throtle response! I switched on my blower motor a few years ago and noticed a good increase in response. But the biggest leap was with the naturally aspirated motor going from carbs to injector. Makes a huge difference for all those thinking about it.

660s compared to injectors? A huge jump? I would hope so considering the flow differences.
    Injectors are for sissies

Hmmm. Wonder why guys that go to injectors never go back to carbs?
Ask the pro stock racers if they would like to run injection if it were legal.
Injectors are where it's at. No stupid floats or needles and seats to hang. No power valves. Just power.
How's that for an injector commercial?

Gotta agree with Fiat, my Hilborn has been trouble free for a year and a half. Changing jets is about a 1 minute process, if your slow. Since then, I have worked on this less than the carbs in one race...just too simple. The Enderle is the same, a 9/16 wrench, a flat head screwdriver, and 30 seconds and the jetting is changed.
Unless its a pleasure boat, I'll never run a carb again.

The difference is in throttle response.. no comparison, and thats at a comparable cfm... I'll see how it does at the track in a couple weeks. Timeslips will tell.
