Oh :jawdrop: I just turned off that option on mine as well. Maybe I should check my e-mails again to see if it worked. Might have to reboot before it accepts the change.
no way! emails are great. You only get one email per thread, so if you leave it in your inbox, you can check it when you get a chance. You can also just read the reply via email without signing on to the boards. It is better with the replies, cause sometimes you forget where you posted and the thread drops, now you can always check every thread.
I'm gonna wait to voice my opinion until I have more time to get accustomed to it...It seems to have bene's but the look feels strange still.

Dunno where you turned it off but first go to user cp then edit options scroll down till it says "When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.
Do not subscribe No email notification Instant email notification Daily email notification Weekly email notification Default Thread Subscription Mode: " and make sure Do not subscribe is in the drop down box. Next you have to unsubscribe to the threads you already get emails on. Click on list subsciption then you should see the threads listed you get email from you should be able to unsubscribe them from there.
I also like the green light that shows when a user is on. This new version is more useful, just might be confusing for all your old folks.
The look and some of the functions are cool, but I have to agree that the emails are a bit too much.
Yeah, but I want to be subscribed to those threads. The option to turn off emails is on the same page that you are describing. I even turned off the option for them to send me any emails at all, and they still keep coming. :cry:

At the bottom where it lists the users, why do some people have a + after their name?
And why are the smilies different for each reply?
