Hell Yeah.. it's the best damn burger in town too..
Haven't been to Havasu this year yet, sold the boat the beginning of summer
and the new Hallett is being built right now, anyway ,does anybody know if
Billy Burger is still in buissness ?
Hell Yeah.. it's the best damn burger in town too..
The one time (out of our 2 or 3 trips to Havasu a year) we waited in line for 45 minutes to get one of these burgers and they were out of propane. We were hungry and irritable to start with, but by the end of waiting for 45 minutes before we gave them the blow off, we were all crabby and I was hurling obscenities at them as I putzed on by. :argue:
I will try them another trip, I'm sure. Based on all the reviews, I guess I will have to see what the rage is all about.
Billy Burgers ROCK!! HAd some a few weeks back and even got one of my local Havasupians friends to try it finally......He got the double and he WILL be back without question. ATX you just hit it at a bad moment, bummer. Give it another shot, you won't be disappointed. :boxed:
try the Sandbar Burger at the "Sandbar", little green shack about 100 yards off Thompson Bay by the Pink Hotel...THE BEST!
PHX ATC: I tried them the same day that you did probably, it was the RRX
regatta and the Billy Burger deal was being worked by 2 10 year old boys that
didn't have a clue and a woman that looked like she was 10 miles away and a
guy who was sitting at the front of the boat and never did a thing except
stare off into space. They were out of propane and after someone with a
boat (customer) helped them change the propane tank, someone on another
boat had to loan them a lighter to get it started. We waited with LSR for
about an hour and finally got our burgers and they were very good. I think
the secret is the liquid that they pour on top of the hot coals to put a taste
into the meat. That's the only time that I've tried them but I suppose I'll
go back as long as they're not too slow.

The wait was worth it that day wasn't it Keith. I can't remember if we asked what the sauce was or not, I know we thought about it. But in the end we where just happy to get our burgers.
We are talking about Billy Burgers on the water right?
Yes we are ...
Billy Burger is a Must Do if your at Havasu! Best Burger on the Lake or in town for that matter.
