-6 minimum. I have -8 lines on a warmed over BBC.
Hi guys,
I'm in the process of ditching all the rubber hose and switching over to braided SS hose. Could you please guide me as to what size AN I should run? The boat has two saddle tanks on the side. Motor is a nothin crazy 468 BBC.
Thanks as always for the help....John
-6 minimum. I have -8 lines on a warmed over BBC.
this will determin what size hose you run - as this will be the restriction point ( ya cant change it with out tearing tanks apart ) if i had a 6a-n p/u i would run 8a/n hose More volume 8a/n pickup 10 a/n hose - why i don this is to have just a little more volume of fuel - for those long runs !
if you run a blower - at least 8a/n lines prefer a 10
Thanks guys. Both tanks have a 3/8 pipe threaded 90 coming out of the tanks. Looking on the internet it looks like I can get a 3/8 pipe/-8 AN fitting.
So if I ran -8 from the tanks to the pump and then would you recommend it ran a -6 from the mechanical pump to the holley carb????
What cha think?
might as well run it all in -8. I sell alot of -6 pre made carb kits for holleys but I'd think that it would have to be a pretty mild application.
Are you using a pressure regulator too?
There is another internet link in my sig you might want to check out.
Your best bet would be to get ahold of Superdave, he will definitely hook a brotha up! He helped me replumb my water lines and saved me alot of $$$$$.
you got that right tell sd what you need and he will do you right.
