Hot Rod i was running a clutch with an air opertated solenoid to engage it, in my flatbottom, as dave said Lenco makes a good one, but I was wondering if you were thinking about an automotive type clutch[?]
pgf127rt...Since I diden't know that there was anything else, yes I was thinking about an auto unit but If there is something better I'm all ears. Please tell me more. What's out there, where can I get, what are the pro's and con's etc....
I didn't run the air shift, I have linkage with a shifter mounted on the v-drive (pretty much between the seats). That way for lake use I could slip or feather the clutch. If I may ask, what type of boat are you running? I don't know why you would need one in a jet.
Check out my junk

That's a sweet looking rig Hot Rod. One nice thing about the clutch that I used was it had a built in prop release. So I would think it would do the same thing as a Jet-away. But the downfall is it would take up more space and would add more weight.
