Me neither. Great timing on the picture taking. Around here that'd be illegal.
Yep,
more stupid Redneck Olympics in the south.... We call this " Do you Think he will Jump?" A friend of mine competing in this event, however none of the other competetors made the climb...he was the sole winner. Gold Medal for him and also twisted knee from impact. This is a railroad Trestle over Lake Hartwell in South Carolina... 80 feet high where he jumped from. When I was younger ..... no problem I did it 10 years ago, but now I am older and wiser, he however is not. http://www.***boat.com/image_center/...66DSC02302.JPG http://www.***boat.com/image_center/...66DSC02303.JPG http://www.***boat.com/image_center/...66DSC02304.JPG

My cousin used to dive off of the bridge in Topoc, until he did some SCUBA diving in the area and discovered the pilings from the previous bridge that was there long before he was ever born.
the highest I've ever jumped was about 110 feet from the trestle under the
hiway 70 bridge over lake oroville in late summer. we took a 100 foot ski rope
up with us to try and measure how high we were before we jumped. the rope
missed touching the water by about 10 feet, so, we figure 110 feet.....
LONG ASS DROP I tell ya.... better have your arms straight beside your torso,
your feet (with shoes on is a must) toes pointed down, and you better hit
the water while verticle.......... or else........
it ripped both side seams on my shorts that day... on a previous jump of about 80 feet, I popped my left ear drum on contact with the water from the
sheer pressure..............
ah yes, to be young, and dumb.................. now I'm just dumb...
