Thread: Backfire after runnin' hard

    After running , motor sometimes backfires once when I get back into the gas and just crack the carbs to putt around ..what gives here ??? :idea:
    8/71 2-1050 Dominators 30* locked out timing BBC454 2Mallory 250 pumps 8# fuel psi @ Log & carbs idles@ 900rpm
    any input would be appreciated , do you guys need more info !

    Check your shooters (and the little check valves below them) and also your linkage to the accelerator pumps. Sounds like not enough pump shot.

    will check this out, I have been having some trouble with my linkage adj. :wink: I was only worried about getting WOT not part throttle :hammer2:

    I had the same thing, adjusted the slop out of the pump arms and it fixxed it. :rollside:

    Yeah..that is what I meant by checking the linkage. Slop in the pump arms. My carb lingo is lacking.
