Which head unit??

I am going to buy a Sony Head unit and need to decide on which one.
Why sony? For the marine remote and cd changer that won't skip in my ride....
Anyhow, I have always done my own stereo work in my boat and have decided to give Wired for Sound a try.
Only thing is, I need to pic which head unit.....
Any input???

i had a sony unit in my last boat with a 10 disk changer. i never had the changer skip on me once. i dont think that it was top dog. But it seamed to work very well. make sure that you get a changer the reads in advance 10 to 15 sec to help avoid skiping.

We just did the Alpine 9857 through John (SWB) at Wired for Sound. I did the Alpine because it is Ipod/Sirus capable. John has made a module that will let the Alpine work with the Sony remotes.
On a side note I will sell you the Sony headunit that I took out of my boat for $100.00 and a 12 pack of beer. :crossx:

It's decent and came stock in the boat. Has changer imput, pre outs and a remote.
