    Mine is now 35 1/2".
Jetboatguru knows this boat that 76Cole has. Bottom rework on that boat by Jim Lange is more of a Tr-2 style.
Probably 34 is about right but measure what you have now (had a hemi in it when 76Cole bought it but may have had a chevy at one time). See if any other holes are in the rails from a prior setup. And get Tony's input.

I set mine at 36" and the v-drive at 96". My 76 TR1 was set up to race. I ran 10's at 104 mph.

there are other holes drilled in the rails as it looks like it must of had other engines in it. by looking at your engines measurements i think i will try 34"
and see what how it runs there. do you measure from the front of the block to the inside of the rear of the hull ? thanks

Inside of transom to the front of the front motor plate. Front meaning where the balancer is on the motor.

I looked at this boat when it was in Simi, but ended up going with the Canyon. It should make a nice package
