This is an off shoot of the "Best bang for buck 460 recipes?" thread for those who are more concerned with "bang" and less concerned with "buck". As for myself I want to keep mine under 5K total but my main concern is reliability....hence the other tread.

    Sort of...
    How 'bout..
Start with Ford Motorsport Short Block assy M-6011-B-600 or:
    Block-6010-A-460 4.600 bore Motorsport block.
    Crank-6303-B-600 4.500 str. forged AMS 6415 steel
Bill Miller forged alum. rods, 6.77" or 6.800".
JE forged pistons depending on rod length and dome requirement. 14:1+ NA or 9.5:1 blown gas, 11.5:1 blown alcohol.
Rings, depending on application. Usually Childs and Albert ZGS.
    Heads-M-6049-C-460 are good
    TFS A460's are good
Ray Franks Profiler 460 is good.
Either choice should be prepped by Alan Johnson Performance Engineering
All will require finishing, special design shaft rocker assy, (M-6564-E460 for the Ford, T&D, Jessel or Miller are avail. as well), custom 7/16" or 1/2" tapered pushrods, special long valves (Ti int, stainless or inconel ex), tall high pressure springs, and Crane Super 7 retainers.
Comp Cams or Lunati custom grind roller something like the 324FR-120
292-320@.050, .882-.830, 120 deg. LC. , a little more ex for supercharged app.
Crower HD or Morel roller lifters
Danny Bee external belt drive timing set
MSD or? Distributor and custom Lesley Long Stinger ignition, crank trigger.
For induction, NA...Custom sheet metal manifold w/ (2) 1350cfm custom race carbs (too many excellent carbs out there to narrow down one name)
TFS A460 Cast sheet metal style TR (for their heads) w/similar carbs
Ray Franks has a cast TR man. specifically for his heads. The TFS man may work with the Ford heads...not sure.
Ford SVO or Edelbrock Victor (basically same man) single plane with the biggest 4V carb on the market for lower RPM app. Obviously cam change would be necessary.
    OR_
Chris Barker custom sheet metal blower man w/ BDS or Littlefield 1471, Hilborn injection, Buzzard catcher. Alcohol or gas.
Oling-minimum 4 stage dry sump, Weaver, Moroso, Aviad...all good.
Dan Olson or Steff's aluminum oil pan.
Crankcase control- Moroso 3 or 4 stage vac. pump.
This would be a good start.
