Thread: what should i expect

    hey guys i have a ?. just put together a 18.5 ft mantra tunnel hull with a berk 12 jg berk droop snoot ,shoe and ride plate,and a stainless a impellor. i am curious as to what kind of mph i should see out of it. it has a 509 bbc with a stage 2 littlefield 671 blower it dynoed 810hp with 780 ftlb torque. these are real numbers not book numbers ,what do you guys think

    I am thinking your first trip out expect 90. Do set up and adjustments and you will be up at 100 safely. (well As safe as possible at 100 in an 18.5' Boat) Wear a life line and have sober friends in boats close while making these passes.

    I think you should make the 1st pass downwind.......A backup boat might be a good idea as well............MP

    I bought a Mantra tunnel for resale. It had a mild bbc (I am thinking 400hp) and a A impeller ride plate, setback pump loader, etc. The boat ran 79.8 on the gps at 5000rpm. Here are some pics

    i already figured you would be there ,we could use the mincota powered viper to tow me in if anything would happen :rollside:
