To tell you the truth, I probably don't take my boat out between November and at least the end of March. Depending on the early Spring temps.
Well that makes me feel a little better then, I guess.
So Norcal & Hooter maybe you guys can give me a suggestion. The wife and I are wanting to come out west this spring and get on the water somewhere. I don't really want to pull my boat that far so we were thinking about hoping a flight & finding someplace to rent a boat for a week or so. What your suggestions on location & month? Oh yeah no freakin pontoon, or bayliners.

Good luck on renting anything decent. That's what they usually rent. Nothing too sporty for rentals typically. As for location, depends on what you're into. Relaxing, skiing, partying. Temp wise, anything from Mojave to Parker starts to get warm around Easterish time, but the water is still cold.

That's what I was afraid you would say. Little relaxing, a little partying seeing some new sites, and meeting new people. That's what we would like to do. But shit man I don't want to do the 40hp pontoon, or bayliner with the big RENTAL sign on the side. I may have to rethink this and make the tow.
this place rents a 21' carrera jet boat rental (http://www.arizonawatersports.com/rentals.htm)

Let me go back to my 5th grade geography here, but I'm in Missouri so I guess that would be about a 3-4 state pull.
Hey switch, when it comes that time to make your plans, there are plenty of peeps that can give you some insight on where the hot spots are to stay. Just keep asking away. Personally, I would think Laughlin might not be a bad choice. You could throw a rock and hit the airport. You might be able to fly in through like Phoenix or something. Mojave is just few minutes away. Havasu is within an hour. Plus you got nightlife with the casinos and stuff.
