    is the front bulkhead suposed to be lose or have a suport running up to the deck this is a light weight their is no wood on the front side or the bulkhead thanks

    Youngblood, Earl Smith use atype of construction which utilizes a floating deck. The bulkheads just support the deck and are not fiberglassed so the deck and bottom are one. I own a light weight Performance and my boat is constructed in this manner. The Calif Perf is construced with bulkheads glassed to the bottom as well the deck. This makes for a very rigged constuction. Greg Shoemaker
