It's probably that safest "non sinkable" boat out there. Most Whalers are usually fishing boats and desireable to have in that arena. They are expensive, but worth it for the saftey. Great boat for a family.
OK, Hear me out....
I have a friend that wants to sell his 1996 Boston Whaler jet boat. I know what you guys are thinking.....that not a real jet boat......BUT this one is different.
It is an 18' boat with a 5.0L Redline Marine Jet Drive. The engnine is a Ford V8. It is not the normal 2 stoke jet ski type engine. From what I can tell this boat is pretty rare.
Any one ever seen one or know anything about them?
Here's a pic.

Aren't the boston whalers the boats you can feed half to a shark and it still floats high in the water ????

 They should of had one of those in the Jaws movies.
Yes, Whalers are unsinkable....I saw one at the Miami boat show that was cut in half and the salesman was driving the back 1/2 around in the harbor. It was outboard powered.
That boat was reviewed in a couple mags, try "Boating" or "Boating World". A little research might get you some info. That is a well built boat that should hold value. With it's deep vee and a 200 hp engine, it is not very fast. They had an optional 351.
I went a looked at it this evening and it is a 351. It is rated at 285HP.
