Makes me want to have a couple kids .
Thought this was pretty cool. My 13 yr old son did 95% of the work today while pulling the motor. I just handled the photo documentation part. I even let him handle the hoist work. That part was a little scary, but he did real well and my $600 oil pan is still undented.
The last of the mounting hardware.

Anybody need a mechanic? I'll rent him out for a reasonable fee. Another couple years and he's gonna blow right past the old man.
Hopefully flip her tomorrow so I can start on the bottom work.

Wellllll at least enough for ya to keep practicing making kids anyway?
Squirt, whatcha got planned????
That's cool. My oldest is seventeen and he isn't really in to the mechanical stuff but would rather play his guitar and do the rock band thing, but my two girls who are 13 and 7 love to do anything I am doing including working on the car/boat/jet skis and it is cute to see their little faces covered with grease spots. We have another one on the way and they are saying it will be a girl too. Looks like I'll be surrounded by women before long!

I believe a "de-hooking" is on the agenda, then he's gonna GEL HIS BILGE YELLOW!!!! RIGHT, DAN?????!!!! LOL

Hey the kid just cleaned it, right???!!! I figured WHY NOT TRY.......LOL
Hey Dan, just noticed something. Quick 10hp. Find a smaller crank pulley and get a 4" alt. pulley.
I think it's cool you and your boy are working together like that. My best memories of me and my dad are from in the garage. When I was 5, he used to give me an old carb and I had my own screwdrivers, and kept me outa his way (for a while). Before long, he says I was coming back with the carb, and he'd say "go take it apart", and I'd say "I already did!!!"
Good times!!!
What makes you think I'd want more horsepower???????????? O.k. i do. Got any ideas on where to find these 10 hp pulleys?
