I was just going to ask about this. There is currently none in the front of my boat. Should I put something up there? What is I just glass the front in watertight?
:eat: Flotation foam sucks, up in the vacume. But the big chunks fill up the garbage can quick !!!! Must be 15lbs of foam in the bow of my boat !!!! :eat:

I talked with Todd today and he told me that he is just leaving it out on mostly all the boats he does. I am taking it out so I can get to the bow eyelet. He said just have good insurance. I am leaving it out on mine lighter = Fasters & quicker !!!! all this gear is very tight up there and hot. But being I am not the healthiest person right now I didn't want to chance anything. It definately has saved my eyes up under there.
Jim
I put tractor tire intertube under the deck and filled as much as possible.Still have room for oars and lifejackets.
:crossx: Good Idea !!!! :crossx:
Jim
Thank-you.
Any time !!!

I considered foaming the hydro. I just can't afford to lose that boat once all's said & done and it's on the water...
The thing I heard about foam is that the cells can trap water and keep it there...making the overall weight of your boat heavier.
So I think I'm gonna go for a several good-sized inner tubes. Easily reversible and non-messy to do so.

The foam was damp. Not real damp but it has not been in the water for two years. So yes it could wieght the nose a bit. Inner tubes are the ticket and very sound deadening too.

Jim.. I just did my bow eye hook tonight. It was about to fall off. I had to reglass and drill the holes. Let me tell you, if you have a small boat, get a small kid to do the interior work. I am 6'3 and I had a hell of a time getting up there and functioning!!!
