Std. head for a low comp. 460. 91 cc open or closed chamber, 2.09 intake 1.66 exhaust. small intake port, exhaust port is a disaster. A much better iron head to work with is a D0VE-C or C8VE-A, 75 cc closed chamber. Do the usual exhaust port work.
Can anyone give me some info on a pair of heads part# D3VE A2A anything you have will be helpful.. THANKS..GJ

Any Ford, Lincoln or Merc. 1968 thru 1970 429-460 equipped car. Check the number, they could have been changed somewhere in the 30-35 years since new. They have screw-in studs and rail rockers [throw those away] For adjustable valve train toss the orig. studs and buy a set for a BBC and have the pedastals [sp] cut .250"- any machine shop can do this. Don't forget the guide plates and hardened pushrods.
THANKS AGAIN O58!!!
First place i would look is a junkyard so far i am 100% on finding these heads when i blew my last motor i headed to the local ecology wrecking and what do you know there i s a dove block and heads for 120 bucks.i now have an extra set of heads(sorry not for sale)as they are spares. Definitely throw away the stock rockers and do what 058 said i did that after learning the hard way (was wondering how i dropped a valve on my last motor)then i read in a book about the rockers.
I have now installed the bbc studs and rockers got the ford motorsports guide plates and trick flow pushrods(hardened)8.63 lenghth. This is the stock lenghth for these year heads too 68-72 and the rest are 8.55.
Charger!! You running a Ford???
Thats the problem right there!!
Just kidding.I would run Volvo if it stayed together!!
