Monsters of Rock tour back in I believe 87' or 88' in Kansas City. Ozzy, Metallica, Great White, etc... There were like 8 or 9 major bands touring together. It's been to long ago, but I think it was a hell of a show.
Led Zeppelin Long Beach (1971) yes i'm old :supp:
The Eagles "When Hell Freezes Over", not my favorite but probably the most memorable for a couple of reasons, 1. the Wifes very first concert ever 2. Got in a fight with the a-hole behind me, 50,000 people in the stands and he is the only one that wants to sit down, he poured beer on my wifes seat then told the Cops that we wouldn't sit down, when the police left I was in my first and last fist fight, he didn't win...
Good thread...
One undoubtedly was Janes Addiction with Fishbone at the Olympic Auditorium downtown LA. absolutley rocked me.
my other tie for first would be the Metallica/Godsmack show that i haven't been to yet.....it's Nov 27th!!!!
Van Halen about seven years ago or so and Bon Jovi a few years back at the Anahiem pond
Hmm... I can narrow it down to three:
1. Any Jimmy Buffett show.
2. Oingo Boingo. Deadman's Party (my first real concert '86 or so, still have the stub).
3. Guns N Roses. Use Your Illusion
Led Zepplin Oakland 1977
Zeppelin for 6 straight nights at the Forum, and a 7th night in San Bernardino, back in 77, went to that LB show too, just simply awesome, also the Kroq Weenie Roast with Pearljam, Red Hots, and some local bands, great times.
MikeVG, yes i'm old too Framer1, but we still rock!!!!
