I'm looking for a 80's 911. Anyone here know the best year? I've been told 87 & 88 were really good.

I can't remember but my old '79 was not bad. I bought a '92 and changed it all over. Which made it a very nice sexy car, that was up to date. I did make a big mistake, I put way too much gear to it. It only had a top speed of about 115mph in 5th. I was making about 380hp na. It was very quick out of tight cornners but on the open strieghts it just wasn't there.

I have had a few porsches and the mid to late 80's cars are my favorite. I currently own a 87 cabrio with the factory wide body on it (turbo body)

It isn't really the year but what you do with it and the condition in comes in. I always looked for the rattiest torn up one I could find cause I always gutted them down to the pan and replaced the suspension, brakes and on up. Checkem out, www.anzianos.com loctaed in Santa Ana, CA off the 55 freeway. Tell'em Tiny sent you.

The one I want needs to be in almost perfect condition right from the start. I don't have time to work on cars, I'd rather be boating. I was planning to spend 15~20 grand, for an 80's, but now i'm thinking about 25~30, because for that amount you can get a mid 90's with really low miles and much better AC.
