    That is soooo cool. I've seen a similar pic before. Why does that happen when a jet breaks the sound barrier?

    I saw a supersonic flyby from an F-14 when doing a deployment on the Kitty Hawk. Went by at eye level right next to the ship.
    Most amazing thing I have ever witnessed.

    it has to be a humid day.. thats the water vapor in the air compressing until u can actually see the water
