Help I Am Building A New 21 Foot Tunnel. I Am Putting A New 502 Engine In. I Have Some Guys Tell Me To Use The 502/450 Horse With Cast Heads Instead Of The 502/502 Horse With Aluminum Heads Because Of Corrosion Concerns. This Will Be An Open Water System But It Will Have A 2 Stage Thermostat Setup Also. What Do You Know? Thanks

If you're running it in fresh water I wouldn't worry too much about it. Salt would be another story though.

Ditto...........Aluminum heads are the only way to go these days, if its close cooled or in fresh water only.

Go the 502/502 route but take it apart and machine (deck height, align bore and hone) and balance it the way it should be. Also have the sever duty/ inconel valves installed. If you bump up to say a Comp Cams #11-000-09, 850 Holley, Dart manifold, decent roller rockers, ARP bolts, you will see closer to 570 HP that is reliable! Factory machining sucks. Good base inards: forged crank, good rods, JE Pistons (except those funky metric rings), just shoddy machine work. Been there, done that.
