Well, I guess our letters did not make a difference. They started the flood. I just got this e-mail:
We want to thank you for your comments regarding the proposed
experimental flows from Glen Canyon Dam. A Finding of No Significant
Impact (FONSI) was determined and the releases began on Sunday, Nov. 21.
Listed below are the links to the FONSI and also the Response to Public

Shouldn't affect it at all, unless you plan on bypassing the bridge and swimming across to Phantom Ranch.
I Thought Mardoniz Or Azlake Lis Would Have Taken Some Pics
We've got pics,, just need to get them downloaded, resized, etc,,, (i'm pictorally challanged) so they will fit. It created alot of mist that was boiling out of the canyon,, looked like the river was on fire,, pretty cool.. We will get on the pictures this weekend and get them posted.
That means park services is going to loose alot of money...............can't wait to see the pics...........we have been down many times to Phantom.................

Why would they lose money? The flood won't affect the hikers in the least.

you're worried about a damm walk in the park while the tree huggers are dumping enough water to keep Denver CO. going for a year??? the enviro wackos took more water out of Powell in the last few days than what a "normal" winter has put into it in the past few years!!!!!
