male or female.
I just got an Akita puppy and I'm looking for unusual, "strong" type names. Any ideas?
This is my 2nd Akita, the 1st, Nicky, is no longer of this earth. :frown:
For those not familiar with the breed they are from Japan and were bred to hunt bears. They get to 120-130 pounds. Helen Keller is credited of being the first person in the U.S. to have one.
Thanks..........

In Japanese: 強い

i have a 3 year old Weim myself (her name is sadie), she is constantly in trouble, but she is such a joy to have at the same time.
i probably would not buy another one, it took 3 years to get this one trained...
well if helen keller is acredited with the introduction of the breed - i'd name it yellowshin
