After using a Magneto for 32 years, I'm thinking of going with an MSD dist. Any sugestions on part numbers for the distributor, ignition box, coil's or wires. 468 chevy, daul 750's on a tunnel ram

Flat, I knew you would say that, and I'm sure I'll be chastised by a few other V-Drive guy's. I'm giving the boat to my Kid and I think the distributor will be easer for him to maintain. I just had the mag gone over by Tailor Vertex, so I'm sure I'll be able to sell it.

Whats to maintain? A fresh vertex should be good for another 10-15yrs maintainence free. Give the kid the same simplicity of the Mag.............MP

I've got ther same engine and carb setup in 77 Sanger ski hydro , vdrive for the last 3 years. I have been using the MSD 6ML marine box setup and MSD distr.with the blaster coil that can be in any position. All has worked well. I have the ignition box mounted on stringer, no water getting in at all. Good luck.
