2.5 260 powerhead

I have a 200 merc 2.5, i was wondering what is involved in putting a 260 powerhead on it. Also where can i find one of these and trade in my 200 powerhead which is in perfect shape? What is this possible going to cost me?

You would need to change your adapter housing and tuner just to make it fit. After this is done you will still have a lower that will not last long on a 260EFI and a weak three ram trim system. Plus you will need a Bosch fuel pump to mount in the boat. I would sell you 200 and look for a good deal on a 96-97 used 260EFI. In the long run this would be much cheaper. All this said either way I have drop-on and turn key new and reman 260s if your shopping. Hope this helps. Drew @ Boatmasters 925-828-5775.

do you have any whole 260's? also what would the complete powerhead cost me and would you trade in my powerhead towards it?

thanks to the new laws regarding 2 cycles, the price for these things (used market) are increasing by 10-25%... if you got one, they'll be like gold!!!
