Just curious what is the white thing on the transom, by the trim tab? Is that a water pickup for the motor? How fast do you all think that pig will go?

You might be right about that. I've only seen I/O's in that hull. The outboard steering is ahead of it's time for sure.
I would think the shaft angle is pretty steep to sock a bunch of hp to it. You can see the nibral prop so that's telling me that it has never had a crap load of power.
Still those and the Donzi Sweet 16's are timeless classics if you ask me. The nicest on the eyes of anything from the east even to this day I think.
I always liked the Donzi classic too, timeless good looks IMO.
