Tonight, Debbie lost a wonderful husband, the kids lost a great father and friends and boaters near and far lost a man that anyone would be proud to call a friend. Skeebo (Charles) was killed tonight in an automobile accident on his way to pick up their grandson from the Carolinas. Tonight was the BOTE Frosty Ball party and early in the evening came a devistating phone call. Ice played a major role and the details will come out in the next few days. All of us from the Beast Of The East Family give our support and love to the family and friends.
Skeebo, you will truly be missed. GODSPEED MY FRIEND!!
From all of us in the Beast Of The East Family and the Hot Boat members. You are missed.

I don't even know how to begin to tell the sadness this has brought to me and my family. When I recieved the news last night I was dumbfounded. My 10 year old has been in tears every time we mention Skeebos name. My friends that I have spoken to about this have had the same reaction. Several of the best times of this past summer were spent with Debbie and Skeebo. We had several boating get togethers at their river front home. Skeebo has a ramp in his yard that made his place an excellent meeting spot. After the boating we would have marvelous eating extravaganzas
I had spoken with Skeebo last week about the Hot Boat Magazine shootout that we went to in Ohio. He told me that his boat was going to be featured in an upcoming issue. He was so pleased. So sorry he won't be able to enjoy the fruits of his work on restoring his jet boat.
Our condolences and prayers to Debbie, and to Jay and Tara Bailey as they are next door neighbors and close friends as any can be. Jay and Skeebo were like brothers, maybe even closer.
Skeebo was a true Hot Boater and a wonderful friend.
    Godspeed , Skeebo.
