Ok RR1/001, what kind of power ar you running? I remember you said it's a chevy punched to a 461, and you are using Aluminum heads. What carbs, compression, solid, or hydrolic cam? What kind of HP does this thing make? Where you on pump gas, or....? Thanks

    Hey, RR1-001
I seen that you did pretty good we stoped by your pit but your wife said that you were a sleep. Well we didn't do as good as we wanted to the first pass on friday was 12.3 @ 89.4mph. The boat wouldn't launch it keep blowing the pump out and would stand straight up at launch. We dewedged the boat on sat. and it launched but only run 81.0mph. We had to run Foolish Pleasure in the first round and I cut a .21 light to his .14 but the boat was plowing water on the big end. We are putting a hydraulic diverter and changing the nozzle on it next weekend. This should let us launch the boat and the go up on the nozzle to the set nozzle stop hope it works.

    STOP!
Don't use a hydrolic diverter. If you really want to get a better time (ET) and MPH, you don't want to guess. Let me ask you, with using the hydrolic, do you think you can trim the boat the same for every run? Giving you a platform to work off of? NO, you won't be able to. Use a manual if you must use a diverter (I'd choose no diverter and play with shoe/ride plate/wedge combos) With a manual, you can trim the boat at the same position everytime. When you want to have a little more up, add some wedge. Anyways, good luck.
BTW, what size motor is in your boat, and around how much HP?
RR1/001, can you tell me again, what size motor you have in your lake boat, and what HP are you running.......oh, and let me congratulate you on getting multiple sponsors to support a lake boat. That's amazing, sponsors for your everyday, lake boat crusier. How do I get some, and what did you do to convince them that your lake boat is a serious drag boat contender and your on a mission to prove there is a racing future for the jet hydro......lake boat.

Well I'll be dipped, Joe Don Lewis was there racing a jet boat!!! RR1, I figured you were right there at 11 seconds. That boat will be safe right up to 100 or so. I believe you can run 10.00 under 100 if you get it to leave like an animal. HB Jet, I think the 001 boat is carbureted on alky, at least it was before.
