Ask any other REAL drag boat racer why they chose the boat they did and you won't find one response like this.

BTW, Steve, I sent you an email.

I was there when RR1/001 decided to choose this hull. This was when I was still the Moderator at dragboatracing.com, and ALL of the members tried to talk him out of it. This Steve is as stubborn as an old mule, and he went ahead and got the jet hydro just to spite us all I think. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif Anyhow, he has put more dedication into this rig than most guys would a blown alcohol deal. YES the boat is an oddity, but with Steve's perserverence I think it is going to do alright for what it is. This guy has spent 5 times what it would cost to go that fast in a "normal" boat, so let's at least tip our hats to him for effort and dedication. I'd have pulled the plug and sunk 'er by now my damn self!

Tip our hats for spending 5 times the amount it would cost for a "Normal" jet boat to go fast. I don't call that engenius, I call it stupid!

Ive got an idea...Why dont you guys run this 'grudge' at either the V-Drive regatta, where Guru and myself are gonna run, or at the Classic Boat Beach Bash. This way we can make it fun for all, and add a little spice to these outings
