Any Civils out there interested in Lake Havasu, they have an opening for an engineer in training. Salary $45,989 to $67,496. EIT is the only requirement (no PE).

67K in LHC would be a pretty decent living there I would imagine.

I would assume so. Especially for a young engineer (only 2 years experience required).

That would be an above average living in Havasu as far as wages are concerned. But with the way housing is skyrocketing out there it might still be tough to buy, not as bad as here, but tougher than say 3 years ago.

My wife is a CE. Still trying to get her EIT but lots of experience, the test just keeps kicking her butt.

It's best to take it while still in school.. That way the math & science portion of it is still pretty fresh.. that is what I did, and boy am I glad because I can't remember half of that crap anymore..

Yep that is her problem. The science and one other section just keeps getting her. She is going to go to one of those 3 weekend sessions they have that are geared towards the exam and try to get studied up on the recent stuff. Since last year I think they added a couple sections.

I don't know if they have any positions that require more experience or not; this ad was in the back of the latest ASCE News.
    Thor,
    Not sure on that qualification
Get the EIT out of the way because then you have the PE to look forward to :jawdrop:
