Does anyone know if stock BBF Cobra Jet head valves will work okay in a boating application. Or should I change them to stainless steal? Thanks for the help!!!

If you are talking about the valves that came in the orig. [D0OE-R] iron heads, change them! I've heard of the heads popping off under hard use.

The sodium filled exhaust valves supplied with the 428CJ heads are known to lose their heads. They are 1.65" diameter.

The heads are dooe-r. Any suggestions on a good set of stainless steal valves? I saw a guy advertising stainless valves on Ebay, but there made by his machine shop.

I've run valves from F/M, Manley, Milodon, SI and REV and have had no problems whatsoever. rrrr, sodium cooled valves were only used in 427s [never in 428s from the factory] and if you have a set of these valves, throw them away ASAP.
