How hard is it to change out existing exhaust tips? Is their something special they need to be sealed with to keep the water out?

    Silicone...that's it.
Breaking the old silicone is the toughest part...I used a paint scraper wedged under the lip.

3M 5200 works well . Make sure the transom cut outs are treated to prevent wood rot.

Tried that. The bond was so tight that I couldn't get anything between the flange and the gelcoat
I finally took the rubber hoses off the inside and POUNDED them out till I could get a wedge under the outside flange.

I ran a sharp knife blade tip around the edge of mine to break the silicone seal, but I still couldn't get an edge under to lift them. So I placed a section of 2X4 on the inside edge and whacked the 2X4 with a big hammer. Start easy and then get a little harder. Mine came right out then.
A far as sealing them back up, I used Star Brite sealer/adhesive.
