I've heard of those guys.
My boss named his boy Calvin because of the strip.
Calvin and Hobbes is my all time favorite comic strip. It was always the first thing I looked for every morning in the paper...
Patterson's reasoning to end the strip was that the characters had become too commercialized. (Hello, you draw strips for daily paper's...)
Of course this revelation was after he made the fortune.... :notam:
Man I use to read those books years back...I still have some..those were the best
By the way,
Thanks for the link, Hoolign! I'll read this all day!
Calvin's Snowmen rule
I figured that I was'nt the only one who laughed like hell at calvins anticsl it's kinda funny cause when my son was around 6 he had the same kinda imagination, he went on safari in our back yard and then told us about all the animals he saw, lions, rhinos, always had some kind of adventure to go to or just came from. I think Calvin And Hobbes showed a bit of the kid in all of us, I can remember trying to fly by running and trying to launch..never got more than 3 feet of air...but managed to give my mom a scare or two

One of the best comics of all time.
Rudy Park and Frazz come close now, but not quite.
I loved how that cat would knock him down every day after school. The snowmen were awesome too. My daughter has 2 or 3 of the books and she reads them over and over again.
