Make sure they are .jpg or .gif saved in RGB mode. Don't use .bmp (too large file size) or anything CMYK.
Other than that it may be the image center causing the problem.
everything I am doing looks legit, but I keep getting a message that says the files I am trying to upload "is not a valid image". I a mpretty compfortable with how this SHOULD work, I live with a PC, but this is kicking my anterior region.... Can someone help?

I found sometimes transfering your image to it's own file on your computer, then upload from that file will work.
Your problem is common to many of us.

I had to bring in the Burbank Happy hour thread pix from webshots.
No other host would accept them
make sure its a .jpg or .bmp file.
Uplaod them to the image center (http://www2.***boat.com/image_center/index.php) Create an account if you dont have one!
Then once you upload it click on it to open it up full size!
Then right click and go to propertys. Highlight and copy the propertys of the image!
Then paste them in the body of your post! Like this..
