Looking for some info on boat registration.
Are there any advantages to a Nevada boat registration as compared to a Arizona boat registration?

    Only if:
    > the boat has not been registered to you in Ca already.
    > you have a home in Az or Nv.
    > the value of the boat is substantial.
If you use the boat in AZ more than 50% of the time, Az wants your money, but it may or may not be to your advantage, depending on the above mentioned criteria.
If you do a couple of simple searches, you find many good, in depth threads on this subject.

You can do a non-resident AZ registration by mail - its very simple, just follow the instructions. You will not get a rainbow (pink) slip, title is different but transferrable. NV is also very simple, but you have to walk in to a NDOW (Nevada Dept of Wildlife) with proof that you have out of state ownership and that local taxes were paid. The office in Henderson is easy and the clerks are very friendly. There are no sales taxes in NV for a private to private sale...

    Thanks for the info
CA registration is inexpensive, itÂ’s the personal property tax that you want to escape from.
The boat is register in AZ, garaged in Boulder City, NV and I was just wondering if there was an advantage to the NV registration.
