As I said before here on the boards, I did not pass the sound test @ LHM. The easy fix would have been to launch at Windsor this summer and hope cops aren't going to be really strict with this law. However, In an effort to sleep in(Windsor fills up early) and not have my trailer destroyed (parking is pretty tight there) I called IMCO and explaind that I was 4DB over with their Gattlins. Dave over there told me to bring it in and they would make some adjustments to get me in compliance. He could not quote me a price over the phone, he said it would be "time and materials." I reluctantly made an appointment, not wanting to spend more money on the sound issue. I took my boat to them yesterday and once they saw the IMCO standoff boxes, IMCO full hydraulic steering, IMCO Gattlin mufflers, IMCO steering tie bar, they said they would fix it free of charge. I was COMPLETELY blown away, I had already agreed to pay something and most vendors would not feel bad taking money from an F-29 owner.
So to all the guys at IMCO...thank you!!!!

The put a reducer from 5" to 4" on the end and put flaps on. It looks clean and made a 7-8DB reduction

Great story, sounds like they already got a fair chunk of change out of you at some point and made their profit, but nice to know that you didn't have to pull out the check book once again !!
