Went out and took all the advice and bought a set of the Gibson Bullets. I drive a Effect 257 with Imco external steering. I have 4'' OD pipes which are 5'' long out of the transome. Just by eye-balling the room needed and the length of the Gibson's, there is NO way that I will clear the external rams, with drive up or in a tight turn. I will post pics tomorrow with the Gibson's installed.....do you guys have any bright ideas? Paging Shawn Gibson!!!! HELP!

Contact BADBLOWN572 on here...he described how he limited the UPWARD trim of the drive just a bit to clear his exhaust. Can't remember how exactly

Marine Machine makes extension brackets to put your steering rams further out - about 6" or so. Saw a pair on Ebay for about $65 - polished stainless steel.

Did you buy clamp on's or transom mounts? Does your boat have exhaust tips or thru transom tails?
