Yep that is where they are going.
Here is the custom driveshaft we made today. Was going to try and couple the tranny direct to the rear end with a single "U" joint. But thought I would treat it like a stern drive and give it double "U" joint flexibility. Never can tell when I might want to trim it up. LOL

Ok here is some quick pics. The van will pretty easy to spot at the show. But will be in the commercial booth area. They don't allow unfinished projects in the actual show.
Wheels and tires. One side of the van with first coat of primer. Still standing real tall on the stock suspension. Rear suspension back under just for mobility.
Quite a bit more to do and next Thurs coming up quick.

Really getting after it to have it primered rolling and engine set in (mocked up) by Thursday. These pics taken friday.
One smurf blue Chevy mini van engine tranny and header, Sub frame cleaned up drop spindles and a coil cut out of the springs. Won't be any weight up here so I don't have a problem with that method. And a couple random shots including bondo racing stripe.

What you need to do now is fabricate a diffusion scoop piece to run from the tops of the carbs to the grill, through the area of the old engine cover ... By using a diffusion design scoop you'll be able to better provide a constant pressure to the carbs and blower ... Get even more 'Creative' and design Cup Holders in it.
What your doing reminds me of back in the mid 60's when I put a Rat 409 in the front of my VW Bug ... Drove center steer from the back seat and back then ... It Was 'Street Legal' with Slicks here in Phoenix.
